Jimm - I use A2 milk since Junior introduced it to me many years ago. There definitely is a difference in taste. Yes, it does cost more but it is something I am prepared to pay. Although it has only been a day, not buying milk based beverages online, I feel better already. I can however tell you lemongrass and ginger tea is an acquired taste!

Also, that I have the right to join the strike coming up at the charity I volunteer at. Hopefully I'll be getting an email to say what I might be striking over.

Do volunteers strike?

Yeah, I did wonder? I understood that it means, if a volunteer agrees with the reasons for the strike, they can refuse to come in for their shift, and if enough do that, the stores won't open.

Volunteers and anyone else can visibly refuse to cross a picket line to show their support and solidarity with the strikers.

That the answer to the brain teaser:
A man with a full beard shaves several times a day, but at the end of the day has a full beard. How?
The answer wasn't 'he's gay and married' which was my suggestion.

Lots of 5-point-ish earthquakes in Solomon Islands a few hours ago - hope all's well with your people there, ozziegiraffe

Two of those were very close to my family. However, as they are all in rural areas, at that size they are unlikely to cause much damage. No tsunami warning either (I checked with the local meteorological service). Nothing reported on social media.

My VPN is not working in China so most things are blocked, except this place.

I learned that I had green paint on my upper lip most of the day even when I went to the coffee shop.

Tinaja, I once unknowingly walked around with a name tag pinned to my cheat. I caught two trains, two buses, spoke with total strangers thinking my! People sure are friendly around here! Ate in a restaurant, shopped in a posh department store, came home and didn’t know about it until I went to bed. Then, I was horrified. Embarrassment came second.

I have the opposite problem, they always fall off!
Today I learned that the thing of cuddling a child after they hurt themselves is scientific. Our brain can only register so many sensations on the skin, so rubbing or pressing uninjured skin removes attention from the injured area.

To be in the richest 10% of the world's population, you only need to earn 40 000 USD (32 000 GBP).

The pronunciation of Sfogliatella. It’s sfo - ya - dtel - a. Simple really, everything falls into place when you know how.

Expensive ice cream doesn’t make it the best ice cream. I love mint/peppermint had mint ice-cream and it wasn’t good. Another failure, Lord.

we learned today the reason why my mom has seemed to be getting worse in the last couple of weeks, losing most of the progress she had made: the shunt she has to regulate the pressure of her brain liquid wasn't working right. she is now back in the other hospital, i suppose she'll get another surgery. and they can't say yet if it caused any additional lasting damage. and one wonders how it can take so long to figure this out (took quite a while to get her another CT, even after it was noticeable that it isn't just a couple of bad days) ...
