What surprises me is that so many of you can still remember your dreams by the time you get to your computers. I can normally remember then when I awake but the memory fades very quickly.

i went to indonesia with my partner for one of his work trips, except not on same flights and my ticket was only one way. when it was time to go home, i couldn't get proper wifi for my phone and so was really struggling to buy a ticket home.

Spontaneous trip to Wellington, arrived with no luggage, Wellington didn't look like Wellington, ran into Fishface on a bus and ended up taking her phone by accident. (It was a really old non smart phone - this is relevant later.)
Then for some reason I was in hospital and I was dying - something to do with my heart, I said that Fishface could have my phone when I died and I was texting people to tell them I was dying - also my cat was there with a big gaping wound.
Decode that!

Well, I turn on the laptop the minute the coffee is ready, so I don't have to wait too long. But even so, I only remember one every couple weeks at best.

Mine are usually the ones that happen when I wake up too early and go back to sleep. This mornings, I was in a warren of a building in Honiara, trying to find the bathroom. There was a lot more to it. Completely unfamiliar building, but the bathroom situation was relevant, as Honiara is notorious for the complete lack of public rest rooms. (If any of you are ever there, your best bets are the Lime Lounge coffee shop or the Mendana Hotel.)

i was hosting a party for friends and colleagues, but decided that instead of roasting another chicken, i would join them on a horse-drawn tour of the city that i'd done with students the week before.
but i somehow ended up across town with no shoes and no phone, and was looking in all the shops for some cheap little shoes while i waited to meet the tour at the halfway point.
i hate these sort of 'quest' dreams just before waking, i feel more exhausted than normal. taking myself out for breakfast because there isn't anything in the fridge.

Got a lift from the Assistant Principal of LC's school in her huge 4 WD, which she constantly drove in reverse and at high speed. She started telling me about the affair that another parent at school had had and commented 'it's always the quiet ones'. Have no idea where this dream came from!

I'm in a classroom and someone is talking about a band called Gunderhouse. I remark to the person next to me "I don't know what they sound like... I think they're pretty commercial."

I was in a store in my home town cooking up a big vat of something. My school friend was supposed to tell me what to do. The substance got really big and she wasn't around to help.

It was seeing a poster's name the reminded me of that dream, have been awake less than an hour, must have been dreaming when I did wake because the dream was still with me.
First time I've dreamt about figjammers - I just found out the A was the party organiser for B's birthday. I hadn't been given an invitation and was very disappointed.

Not only that, but for some time I thought it was true, I really thought it had actually happened. That thought was with me for some time before I realised it wasn't and it hadn't happened it was just a dream.

I was in Paris with the minis, Mr S and his parents for some reason (except Paris looked like Edinburgh). Mr S told me he wanted to break up and then got mad that I upset his parents when I left the lot of them for some time alone.
Took a while to calm down when I woke up as I was still very upset with dream Mr S.

i dreamed that a. wasn't actually my child, and i had to give her back at the same time as getting a baby of my own, but i couldn't build up a connection to that new baby, because i missed her so much. i tried to explain to people, but they didn't seem to quite get it. i suppose it might have to do with having watched the other son ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Other_Son) yesterday ...

I won a Grammy for co-writing a song and all the winners were supposed to get a diamond encrusted pen worth $1 million and for some reason, I didn't get one so Rhianna gave me her.

The details would take more than 2 sentences. I was having a thing with a co-worker who seemed to be quite an ass and got pregnant. He was going to leave town because he was getting fired, then John Goodman (American comedic actor) stepped in.

a few.
my nephew had died. i had the power to go back in time but i was not allowed to do anything to stop his death--i could only use the power to visit him more often. (in reality, i do regret that i'm not closer to him physically and emotionally. i think he needs more family.)
in other, i don't remember anything except standing on a cliff top and saying, a la Gandalf, "there is enough moonlight for all the slaves of Yemeni."
the other night, i dreamt that my partner and i had an argument about something practical like housework, and it ended by me telling him i'd be gone when he got back from work. the rest of the dream was very low-energy, just me putting stuff in bags and him texting to remind me of things i owned that i might forget.

at an airport, and some sort of alien was taking over people as they came off the plane. lots of passengers just shrugged their shoulders and gave in. i somehow snuck off, and found a group of scientists who'd found away to fight back. very exciting!
in another, i was friends with a young woman who'd just met a rather lovely man, the son of a family of lawyers, and she was quite hopeful he'd propose after a week of dates, but i knew his family would talk him out of it. somehow a lot of fishing was involved, and the young woman's cardigan kept developing large holes.

i dreamt that i was preparing my wedding and planning a lot of things but don't manage to get it all done, so i considered postponing the wedding, but realized i had already done this before and all the guests have already traveled here for the wedding, so i have to go through with it badly prepared.

This morning I woke up dreaming I was in Solomon Islands in the aftermath of a major accident, trying to get it investigated. I was driving a borrowed 3-ton truck. The accident seems to have caused major chaos, but there don't seem to have been any victims.

I had a dream that I was buying a house in the same suburb as me - it was two units on one title and only cost $550,000 (it would probably cost double that). I was going to rent out both for $300 a week which would pay the mortgage.

I had a beach or lake house. But then I woke up with a young man neighbor in my bed, and his mother was in the foyer to drag him home--right across the street. Wowzer.

Two dreams:
First was really disjointed and had something to do with working in Kmart and a fair and for some reason Michael Fassbender, David Tennant and Mitchell and Webb were all in it.
Second dream my cat was the good luck charm for the All Blacks (National Rugby team)and so when they played in Auckland I had to put things in place which would coax my cat into going to the stadium. There someone would kiss his forehead for good luck.

I drove to my mother's neighborhood with the local guide from my Panama trip in his sports car, and we cut through her apartment, where someone was interviewing a member of a Filipino rebel movement, who swore me to secrecy since I was working for the Filipino government. The guide and I got a ride from some people; unfortunately after a bit we remembered that we'd left his car at the apartment and had to walk back.

i was working back at the boarding school, and breakfast included lots of really lovely cheeses. I was slightly worried because it wasn't really clear who was paying for this cheese, and i didn't want my students to be shocked with a bill at the end of term.

I'm at a rally in the driveway of a local Ethiopian grocery store, and Turkish president Erdogan is talking about 90s Latina pop star Laura Pausini. Then I'm in a yoga studio, looking out the window at an Afghan hound reclining on the roof deck, and the yoga instructor is telling me that I got the "good batch" of some vaccine.
