1. I restrained from making a snarky comment on an active Twitter thread yesterday, and as a result, today I do not have 99 useless notifications. 2. I restrained from thawing out all my frozen veg to make something complicated, so I can actually go outside for 10 minutes in the sun. 3. I restrained from making my first ever soda bread during my lunch break, so I can actually go outside for 10 minutes in the sun.

Had bone marrow on toast for breakfast. Desperately need to plan today's work and get stuff out to students, but can't seem to prioritize. It's so misty outside that I can barely see the trees that are only 20 metres away.

Forced myself to go for a lunchtime walk for the second day in a row. Which confirmed to me how chronically unfit I have become over the past couple of months and left me with sore feet, because I'm breaking in new docs.

My new (deeply sensible) shell jacket arrived today. Its just what I was after. Too much work to finish before I finish tomorrow. My new bed is being delivered tomorrow! I actually bought it in August but used it as house dressing at mum's. So I guess I'll be painting the bedroom on Saturday. I am so excited for a not-shit mattress. So excited.

I had a lovely lazy morning binge watching Silent Witness. Got vaccinated for zoster (Chicken pox/shingles) now I’m old enough to get it free. They were out of pneumococcal. Booked a boutique country pub across the border in Cunnamulla for Sunday night to start my mini road trip.

That's interesting... ah, well there are two zoster vaccines, one a live vaccine and one a recombinant one. So maybe you got the live vaccine? The CDC information sheet states that that's just a single dose, whereas the recombinant one is administered in a two-dose series.

Sweeeeets, sigh.... I've been craving laddoos ever since I realized that Diwali is the reason none of the Indian contractors we work with could make the meeting we wanted to schedule on Monday morning.

1. I'm behind on one project at work. Mostly because it confuses me. But it's due so I need to suck it up and finish it. 2. Recheck at the doctor later this morning. It won't get this stupid walking cast off, but I hope he sees progress of some kind. 3. I have books ready to pick up at the library.

my back is horrifically stiff, to the point that i feel slightly nauseated every time I bend it.
1. pretty sure this is from sex yesterday. and it wasn't adventurous or anything. i feel old. 2. i've been trying to work standing when I'm not in a call with a student, but i can't cope with that today and i'm worried I'll fall out of the habit. 3. I'm finally balanced comfortably in my office chair with a hot water bottle, but now I really really need a poo.

This post inspired by Figjammers talking about llamas on another thread.
1. What do you call a secret group of llamas? The i-llama-nati.
2. What do you call a very fast llama? A Llamagini.
3. What’s more amazing than a talking llama? A spelling bee.
