9. Curse of the Evil Librarian - Michelle Knudsen. More campy demon fun.
10. Victory Disc -Andrew Cartmel The third book in the vinyl detective series. Cleverly plotted with links going back to spy stuff and swing records in WW2. Some interesting characters. Good fun.
11. The Bookshop on the Shore - Jenny Colgan
Very easy to read chick lit set in Scotland. Not much about books in this one.

5) Judith Schalansky, A Pocket Guide to Remote Islands This is the book I've been reading at night. Schalansky wrote tiny essays about 50 remote islands. Some of it feels like her take on what she felt about what she'd read about the islands; some of it is, I imagine, factual. I loved all of it, will surely pick it up again someday. I read a novel of hers in German once, called something like the giraffe's neck(?). It's the reminiscences of a rather grumpy biology teacher.

Yes, I read that too, in English translation (maybe from your recommendation?)! I think that's why I bought this (it was lingering on the to-read shelf).
