I managed to finish Making Wishes at Bay View (Jessica Redland) and Monday Monday (RoL graphic novel) on the train last weekend - both good examples of what they are. Not making much progress yet with The Apollo Murders by Chris Hadfield (yes, the actual astronaut) - really must try harder since it needs to go back to the library fairly soon.

The Book of Sand, Theo Clare (aka Mo Hayder, aka - really - Clare Dunkel)
Anyone?
I'm wondering if the two planned sequels will still now happen.

I'll look for more of the Horowitz's. I think I'd seen a bunch I didn't like, but there was one about spiders that was very good. I finished Cloud Cuckoo Land, and enjoyed it. Yes, it did tie off all the knots, but I'm reading before bed and I like a tidy ending. I was pleased with Seymour's ending and the twin purposes he found for himself, although I did feel sorry for his mom--what a tough life! I think Q and I were talking about the same discovery that Konstanz makes. hmm, I was thinking Q was talking about the discovery she makes right towards the end... rather than the first big discovery she makes in the book... but it's hard to know for sure without spoilers! I didn't see it coming though. I really enjoyed it. I thought it was really clever how the two threads eventually pulled together. A very decent read compared to some of the dross my mum buys (we share a family kindle account). Coming next - a Jodi Picoult review (kidding)
