Dryrobes don't look stylish (imo), but they are by all accounts terrific at keeping you warm and dry in the cold, driving rain or after a wild swim etc. And they're also not cheap, so you may as well get the wear out of one if you've got one.
So it goes.

Oh, I wasn't thinking dryrobes! I was thinking those massive pea coats. Long Tall Sally

The sailors can keep them, thanks. They look like something out of Call The Midwife!

I don't think those bathrobe coats are hideous. They look so cozy.
I don't look good in a peacoat. I just dont.

I've only ever seen one person in one of those coats, a young woman on the metro. She looked pretty cool in it, but I think she was one of those young people who look good in anything. So I have no opinion.
Actually I have to admit that I have zero opinion about other people's clothes, unless they're t-shirts with fascist imagery on them or something. You do you, other people in weird clothes.

Most of my negative/judgey opinions fall into the category of 'that doesn't look good or comfortable on you, but it does look expensive. why??' but I keep it to myself.

i live in an area where people think they are fashion models & hire photographers to give them that illusion. they also promenade real slowly to make sure people see them others wait in line to be allowed into exclusive stores
making fun of fashion is funny
spent a brief time in the industry have a mate who works in the industry. his commentary is hilarious

I get it; it is fun. I mean I can be scathing about music (boring commercial overproduced autotune tripe!); it's just clothes I don't care about.

I will not buy/wear a coat or heavy sweater that does not have fasteners of some sort, preferably snaps, buttons or a 2-way zipper. I hate velcro. Function, function, function!
