vinny, I've made it in a microwave: in a lightly-greased tupperware bowl, microwaved for two minutes. Came out just fine.

SoulCurry, it took me a while but I finally got around to microwaving idli from a mix (Gits) in a couple of soup bowls. Came out very well, better than I expected from a mix. I see a lot of them in my future.
