To be fair, it was only a rule in one place I worked, so I'm not surprised you haven't heard about it.
Last night we had our last thai meal - fishcakes, jaew with vegetables, grilled pork with sticky rice (for him), shredded crispy catfish and mango salad, coconut noodle dessert thingy for him and coconut ice cream for me.
Today we fly home. Before I leave the airport, I will stock up on two mango sticky rice packs to eat on the way home!

I quite fancy a dish I came up with a while back tonight.
Some lightly fried onions, add some chorizo then when done add then a jar of tomato pasta sauce and some feta cheese mixed in there (and a generous amount of dry chili added) served with spaghetti or penne.
I have a bit of a cold so could be an even more generous serve of chili flakes than usual.

Yesterday, lunch on a cold, wet wintery day (in Spring!) with some good friends:
A trio of mezze with flatbread
Slow cooked sticky pomegranate shoulder of lamb with cous cous
Spring vegetable medley (artichoke - from my garden - asparagus, snow peas, snap peas and podded peas
Omm Ali (Egyptian bread and butter pudding) with figs in orange syrup
Baklava
Oodles of wine and lots of laughs.

Oooh, Soul, can you also divulge what is served with the pancake? Looks a bit like Greek tzaziki to me but probably something totally different.

That's just plain old coconut chutney: half a cup of freshly-grated coconut, 2 tblsp curry leaves, 2 tblsps fresh coriander leaves, 2 green chillis, a dash of salt, a pinch of sugar and fresh curd to bring it all together.

I have a bit of food challenge this week: box of random veggies and loads of fruit. Tonight was a lemon risotto with some celery and yellow bell pepper. Very nice.
