Nice. In the late 90s, the Dutch passport had very cool pages: Every page was different, each depicting events or periods in the country's history.

I don't find that new Japanese design very interesting, seems dull compared to many of the current ones.
I agree with you kneazle, the NZ ones are pretty.
I like German passports, they have a hardcover just like a small book, and the hologram on the bio page is cool.
For color you can't beat the bright yellow cover of a Tibetan nationals identity book (they use them as passports for travel outside of India) although they do serve as a bit of a scarlet letter since they stick out so much.

a saw a spanish one a few years ago; each page was an animal that includes spain in its migration, and a map of the world with the route traced on.

The german one has hardcover binding, but is dead boring otherwise unless it changed in the last 6 years. I like the images on the empty pages where stamps go other passports have!
