We used his BA points for our flights, which was helpful. Next step is using mine for rentals and maybe hotels. In the past, we've found that the hotels using points were so expensive that points just brought them down to the same price as the other options! do they have rooms for guests @ harvard? lots of colleges do in the summer cambridge is a fun town, totally accessible to boston also check regular bnbs in boston. have stayed @ couple non airs bc i hate the extra fees |

bloody hell, hotels are expensive everywhere. I know some of this is the exchange rate, but some places that are pretty basic looking, on the edge of smaller cities, are running higher than we pay for a good room in central London!
we've decided to use my points on the car rental, saving about 2/3 of the cost.
It seems odd, but I can't seem to find BnBs, only hotels. Now, it's possible they're all full or have closed by October, but that seems odd in a region that makes money off leaves dying.

finally down to the last stage, booking 3 nights in Maine. Looking at VRBO, my aunt uses them with no issues, and we found a place near Logan with them already.

If you stop in Bath, there is a gorgeous tiny Italian pastry shop that I stopped at this summer. Superb pastries & highly reputable cappuccino.

That's my kind of info. Slowly building a map, will check to see if Bath is on our route. I can't remember her Tree name--the Connecticut poster who has a travel blog and Insta (The Size of Connecticut)? It's 75% of the reason we're going to CT instead of VT.  |

If you're in Rockport, you're still an hour north of Bath! If you're now driving back to New York. Otherwise never mind... you'll find something! Glad you're having a great trip.
