I know we had a FWP thread, but I can't find it, so here's a new one.

I can't wear things on my wrists. It's a psychological thing but it doesn't inhibit my life so there's no need to therapize it.
However, people have given me bracelets as gifts. Bracelets I have put on for the visual of being gracious in thanking the gifter. And then immediately taken off and put in their boxes where they sit.

I hate wearing bracelets too, which is the one thing saving me from spending all that money on an apple watch, because I would hate wearing it. So it's pretty great, actually.
My FWP is... actually I forget what I was going to say now
OH! I just remembered! Vox had an article about cats that HAD NO PHOTOS OF CATS

I think another thread is warranted. That way we can get confused about which one we post on.
My mum bought me an apple watch because the doctor recommended I get one to help monitor my heart rate (I'm not sure I've mentioned my health scare here before?).
I do have some bangles, but don't wear them often.
My FWP is loud talking (screaming?) upstairs neighbours.

Yeah, I can't wear anything on my wrists. Quite a few years ago (maybe 2 decades, now that I think of it) I fell down the subway stairs at 34th and 6th and my watch band got caught on the banister resulting in a dislocated thumb and index finger. I was screaming in pain with my body strewn along the stair and my arm caught above me and nobody stopped to help.

Ouch, webs, that would have been traumatic. No wonder bracelets are a no go for you.
I don’t wear bracelets much… I have some incredible ones which were gifts and I treasure them but seldom wear. I used to wear a watch but since retiring, seldom do.

The only jewelry I wear is earrings. A wristwach is utilitarian, doesn't count as jewelry. I can't stand anything loose on my wrists.
Every once in a while I'll wear a necklace for a dressy occasion.

I had a bracelet phase so I have lots of them.
Now I occasionally wear a simple bangle that has a twist in it. Should probably eliminate the others.
I've stopped wearing a watch, I had a fitbit one but it recently started reacting to the strap, I didn't notice for a few days and then took the watch off and saw that the skin was red and sort of rubbed off.
So I no longer know what time it is. **big shrug**

Ahhhhhh this backpack I've been thinking about, which has been out of stock and supposedly sells out really quickly whenever it ends up back in stock again, is back in stock. So now I feel like I have to make a very fast decision about whether I actually need a new backpack or am just really fond of looking at pictures of backpacks on the internet.

Webs, all of that is awful.
In theory, I'd loved to do lots of bracelets and chunky man watches. In practice, too distracting.

Sounds awful Webs, you poor thing.
My FWP - I'm wearing an older pair of socks that have lost their elasticity and do that annoying dribbling down from the ankle into your shoe, and having to constantly tug at them to get them back up again. They are going in the bin as soon as I get home.

I’ve been reformatting a document from Publisher to Word, so people less computer literate than me can print it as a booklet. I had it perfect, but my computer somehow lost the perfect version, and reverted to an older one. Argh!

Yes, evil.
River - we call that slippage (pronounced slip-arge). Very annoying.

Fun fact - Publisher docs can be saved as PDFs that can then be printed as a booklet.

That sounds horrible webs. I stopped wearing a watch in my twenties, and can't stand any bracelets or watches or anything on my wrists - no reason for it like your accident it just makes me fidgety. Actually I don't wear any jewellery, wanted to get a ring from my Mum resized to wear but still haven't got around it after trying to wear a ring for a few days that fits and it annoyed me constantly. And necklaces don't go well with hoodies!
It's raining heavily today, and I have to go to the gym, the phsyio and put the bins out. All just a few meters from car to door / gym / hospital but I hate getting wet.

Fun fact - Publisher docs can be saved as PDFs that can then be printed as a booklet. That’s what I did last year. But word is easier for the people who will be using this booklet. And they can edit it. Most of them won’t have adobe software to convert PDFs. I regularly convert work documents to PDF to save them on our work filing system. The organisation I’m doing this for is mostly older women. I’m one of the young ones!

Oddly, I find Publisher much easier than Word. Don't like where that image is in Publisher? Drag it 30mm to the left. In Word? Spend 30 minutes begging Word for the option to move it 5mm, and then watch as the entire document reformats itself.

But discovered that people who need it often don’t have publisher! The only pictures are on the front cover. Now they want page numbers. Hope I can do it without throwing all the formatting out. I’m thinking headers. The problem is, someone else designed the original document, in a format that was much too big, and used far too much paper. My version only requires 2 sheets back to back.

Reading that is going to give me nightmares. I'm going to get a tattoo that says NO VOLUNTEERING FOR PUBLISHING PROJECTS WHEN YOU RETIRE because I've had enough!

I had no idea that was part of the volunteer job I took on. I thought it was research and sending out information about overseas aid projects. Edited to add, I didn’t reaslise another volunteer job I took on involved counting coins in donation money boxes.

Back to bracelets, I had to google to understand the fuss people were making when originally told they could only bring in friendship bracelets they were wearing to the upcoming Taylor Swift shows here.
Hadn't realised it was such a big thing. I am old
