How do we feel about drinking Egg Nog (well bottled boozed Egg Nog Beverage), the week before Christmas, alone.
I like egg nog. This stuff isn't bad, but it's not Gramercy Tavern Egg Nog.

No judgment here. If I had to wait for company to have a drink, it would never happen or I would have unwanted visitors. My go to is Kaluah and coffee lately.

Sounds like a good plan, and very cosy for a winter's night.

Oh heck yeah - I love eggnog and would gladly sit around by myself with a book and a glass of boozy eggnog. Enjoy it!

Another one not in favor of eggnog, but if it's your pleasure.. go for it.

I don’t like egg nog, but if I did I’d be drinking it with or without company. I raise my glass of singing syrup to your glass of egg nog - Sláinte!

I can imaginne those who celebrate Christmas in warm climates not liking a creamy beverage at this time of year. Please find something suitibly festive and fruity and boozy and let me know what you're enjoying.
I'm adding whipped cream to mine but dumped the nutmeg.

I bought the "Winterhaven Farms" nog with the blue label. It's already got the booze in.

I've already got a nice big bottle of bourbon here (currently drinking a bit of it in hot cider), so I was going to get the stuff from the refrigerator case, but that sounds good too.

I found a wonderful lychee liqueur at the markets the other weekend. have been having that over ice. www.scylla.com.au/products/scylla-lychee-liqueur

No judgement about drinking eggnog alone.
But I am afraid that I get a bit judgmental abut drinking that stuff from a bottle, alone or not.* Or the supermarket stuff. Put an egg, some milk, some cream, some booze, and some sugar in a jar. Shake it up well, pour it out, grate nutmeg onto it, enjoy. Easy peasy.
That isn't the best eggnog recipe, which requires a crowd, but it will do for solitary drinking. I had some myself a couple of evenings ago.
*With the proviso that I have never had the Winterhaven stuff. But I can't imagine that anything that keeps more or less forever could be as good as the real thing.

Somehow that sounds gross, while someone else putting a raw egg in premade eggnog doesn’t.

Um, once it's opened it gets refrigerated and gets drunk within a week. I'm not putting raw egg in anything. While easy peasy it might be for Vinny, I'm not doing that.
I'll buy the bottled boozed stuff, thank you.
It's not Gramercy tavern, but it's good enough.

I've never tasted eggnog. I imagine I'd like it though. I have, however, put a bottle of cava in the fridge which I shall open shortly as soon as I finish for the holidays. And I'll drink it out of a 1930s couple glass (I have just the one, inherited and worthless, but fun)
