I happened to mention house slippers at my sister's. Then I bought a pair. Christmas arrives and it is slippers. Then package from my cousin. Slippers. Really good ones. I think that I can return the sister slippers, but not sure if Amazon would credit her account or give me a credit for something else. I just don't want to sound like my mom used to. Not gracious.

They wear out eventually; why not wear the best ones now and set the ones you bought aside?

Yes, I usually get a new pair every year or two, because the others just wear out. Particularly when I almost live in them in winter.

I've reread the OP and it looks like you have three pairs of slippers! I'd still set them aside for later - the ones I'm using now are only 2 years old, and are already kind of worn out.

I have to laugh at myself. I don't know the count on regular shoes here. Is an extra pair of slippers or 2 going to make a difference?

Yeah, hold on to all them house slippers. Wear a different pair each day.

Keep a pair in the car, in a shoe bag, to wear in other people's houses when visiting.
(or is this just something we do in the Maritimes?)

I have 3-4 pairs of slippers in fairly regular rotation - summer pr, winter pair, freezing pair, scuffs from some hotel x 2.
