Does anyone here use one?
I've always ascribed to the idea that you don't keep all your things in one place. So while you might have your wallet, passport, credit cards on you, they're not all in one "billfold" so if it gets stolen you're not out of everything.
What do you think?

Yep, but I've always used the passport wallet for things needed on the flight / voyage - passport, ticket, boarding pass. Credit cards, travellers cheques (are they still used?) and cash along with national ID etc remain elsewhere.

I used to use one, it was handy to store things.
Haven't used it for years, no idea where it is now

I've had one for years and always thought it was worth the comfort of knowing it was shall one say safe, but I have lots of folds and bulges to disguise it in. The other essential for me has always been a credit or debit card stashed in a silk card holder stashed in my bra. Anyone putting their fingers in there uninvited is in serious trouble.

I used a money belt that went under my clothes when I was travelling in Asia.
But I often had a lot of cash (Chinese banking did't really work esp not for foreigners), so it was about protecting the cash as much as the passport.
Also first time in Europe - but that was ancient history when we still had traveller's cheques.

Nope, never did, never felt the need for it. Passport is in safe place in hotel when not travelling, so it was never a problem.

Yes I bought one for my first trip to SEA. I liked the ability of having everything together - visions of Shirley Valentine walking around before leaving chanting (and checking on) “Tickets, Passport, Money. Tickets, Passport, Money”.
Credit cards, pen, etc., passport, printouts of accommodations, etc all went in there. I took it on every trip and found it excellent. I also kept a copy of my passport there as well, plus other copies in other places.

While traveling to the destination, I have a little Pacsafe crossbody, and passport/wallet/kindle/etc goes in there. Once there, passport gets locked up in the hotel, and I carry a copy in my wallet. I also have a spare wallet with extra cash and a second credit card that's also locked up in the hotel along with my laptop and any other fancy thing that I'm not using that day (binoculars, camera).
So no, I've never had a passport wallet.

Thank you for responses.
I've never had one. I used a body safe when I first traveled and then found it hard to keep all the currencies in. Now that that's not necessary I can't see the use.
Also disappointed I can't get a TravelEx card in the US anylonger.

Late to the conversation, but I've never used one - I tried, but hated it, so it languishes in a drawer somewhere. What I have found now is that the wallet I use conveniently fits a passport, so by default I suppose you could say I now use one!

I had a great one; one side for passport, other for cards/paper. It was in a fanny pack stolen at a bus station--they stole the passport wallet, but left my passport/license in the fanny pack. Well hahah joke was on them because a couple of years ago, I sold that (retro) eagle creek fanny pack for 20 quid.
I have one now, it's bright red so very easy to find at home. It holds two passports and a couple of cards, and fits into the side pocket of the scrubs I usually wear while flying. When travelling somewhere that has the theft issue, it's inside a crossbody bag. My boobs are useless for storage.
Most passport wallets are not the right size to hold boarding passes, which is a real industry failure.

My boarding passes live in my phone - or at least have since the last time I was on an airline that didn't do that. Though maybe if you don't have an iPhone there isn't a digital wallet? I don't know how non-Apple phones operate.

yup, android phones can have boarding passes in there, although I find it easier to download the airline app for my trip, and then screenshot my boarding QR code--for those moments when the apps freeze.
but my last trip, I was printed paper passes because I checked a bag,so just used them anyway.

My first visit I used FEC, it was pretty easy to get RMB though - you just had to be a bit sneaky in a local market. They were gone by the time I lived there.
But foreigners still could not have local bank accounts, and even if you had a bank account in one city it wouldn't work in another.
I still have a couple of bits of FEC and RMB and a fake 20 RMB note that was passed to me by a mianbi driver.

I used a TravelEx card my last few times in Europe that allowed me to transact in Euros rather than use a credit card or debit card and have transaction fees.
Now TravelEx doesn't accept US accounts.

sell it.
I once lost a printed pass while running through the airport after my flight called Final Boarding. Got to the gate, they weren't even boarding first class.
Guy at the help desk thought it would be funny to tell me I had to go back and find my pass. Not funny. Not funny at all. Then he said the early announcement was to get people to be at the gate on time, and I said that was daft because now I wasn't going to pay any attention to announcements.

I have a really nice passport wallet I've used for years, it's pink leather and Radley UK brand (the little Scottish terrier logo). When I'm flying I definitely use it as it's quick and easy to identify in my handbag when I'm doing panic checks as to whether I've got my passports with me! I also keep my passports in there permanently now, in a particular drawer in the living room, as I no longer need to carry round my British passport all the time now that I have a plastic residency status ID card. In the wallet are also various things that I've used on travels - I think I still have a Singapore public transit card in there, plus my British National Insurance card and my Australian Medicare card. I like keeping all those sorts of travel related things in the one place.

Mine says, 'Are we there yet?' so is mildly amusing when I'm stuck in an uncomfortable boarding gate.
