Any clues out there as to keeping the doona in place within the doona cover? It's never been a problem before and right now a sheet is quite enough, but this new super lightweight doona has developed a mind of its own.
Safety pins? Bench clamps? Nails? Just return to blankets?
Suggestions appreciated.

never had a problem but if you wanted a small sewing project...
open the side seams of the cover near the top - so you can put your hands in and grab the top corners of the duvet and shake it into position.
sew velcro inside the top of the duvet cover and on the top of the duvet

Good thinking!
Could also be adapted to keep mats in position on carpet. I had intended trying double sided tape.

Don't use one.
I had one once. Beautiful thing. I used it as a bedspread and folded it up at night for one season. Then I gave it away.
Never used one growing up. Don't use one now. Don't have this issue.

Yeah, they just seem complicated? But hope you come up with some solution.

Doonas (duvets) are wonderful! I’ve had a silk filled one ever since I was introduced to the silk version the year I worked in China. They seem to stay within their parameters more than the down filled ones which I used to use.

Unless the cover is silk or satin, your doona shouldn’t be moving all about, if the cover is made from either, get a new cover.

Groo, I have given this a bit more thought and I do believe what you need are press studs. I’m sure they’ll do the trick. Spotlight sell all sizes, get the big ones. Is there a Spotlight store where you are? There’s abut 26 in QLD and 37 in NSW. You will also need a needle and thread. But press studs really will do the job for you.

Groo, we have the same issue. Our duvet seems to slide down the cover, which is slightly larger than than the duvet. I'm considering either the velcro or the snaps, but worry that we'd feel them near our faces. I think some sort of corner fastening will happen.
I had all sorts of blankets while I was home, and remembered why I like the simplicity of a duvet. Just one thing to fight with at 3am.
