Yes they were scary. Me, I don't like being close to the edge of something high up. For example we went up the Empire State building, and I stayed in the doorway to the viewing platform for quite a while gathering the courage to look over the city. This was as close to the edge as I was comfortable with. Attachment Deleted

Yeah, I'm not fond of heights either.
I have an irrational fear of my car breaking down at the top of a bridge or on a twisty road in the mountains and then getting crashed into and going over the edge or something. Which makes no sense, but what can you do.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
'Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others. ~ Marianne Williamson.

Deepest fear - getting dementia. And not being able to end my life before I forget who I am.

Yes, what Romily said. Next to that, but a distant second, would be serious physical disability.

Probably - making a fool of myself in public. Jimm, this happened to me once and I can state with full 110% authority it was the worst moment of my life. I was horrified and could not believe what had just happened. I kept my head down and skedaddled. The only consolation is it happened in another country, a non-English (for the most part) speaking country and it was over ten years ago. BUT….. I can still remember how I felt, I remember exactly where I was and I do the cultural cringe, screw my eyes tight shut, head down and shake my head when I remember.
