I enjoyed the stained glass class. I was looking at buying my own equipment. Not a super high investment but it's not really an investment with a return. I would make some pieces as gifts and have too much to home decorate with. No intention of making to sell. I can pay a small fee and do a project at the art center.
Anything you want to put the brakes on?

Other than working? Not really! Ask me in 6 months or so.
But I relate about this - that's the problem with making purely decorative art. You just end up with all these arts and nothing to do with them other than sell them, which is more like work than I'd want to bother with.
(Though it occurs to me that if you're already selling clothes, maybe you could sell stained glass pieces at the same places? I know, that's not helping you put the brakes on. But those little things that look like stained glass windows that people hang from suction cups on their windows are kind of cool.)

Don't do it!
My problem is most hobbies I'd like to take up require me to use my hands. Arthritis is making that difficult.

Webs my SIL had that exact problem with stained glass - cutting the glass was really painful because of having to do something with pliers, or something.

I do want to keep clothing as the focus. It might be nice to make a piece with my logo. But it might be confusing. Decorative art is hard to sell because it is so subjective.

Years ago I really enjoyed a wood turning class, so a bit later I did another class. My wife and I talked about buying a lathe etc but decided against it. Like tinaja, I could not see what I would do with what I'd make (bowls, platters etc). If I want to do more, I could join a local wood turners club or workshop.
Maybe there is something similar for stained glass?

Jimm, indeed I can go to the art center and do projects. Not just glass. I always want to dive in, head first. If you saw what I already had going on at home, you would laugh or run away screaming lol.

Don't do it! My problem is most hobbies I'd like to take up require me to use my hands. Arthritis is making that difficult. My exercise class includes exercises for the hands from the Arthritis Foundation. I have found them very helpful. They're also something to do while sitting in traffic or a waiting room somewhere. I don't know whether they're available on line.

Tinaja, the fact that you have started and posted a thread asking people to “Stop me” means to me that you want to do something but you know you should not do that something. You need a friend call Will - Will Power! Be the opposite of Nike - Just Don’t Do It!
