Easter Sunday morning, it was about five or six thirty in the morning, I am in bed, awake. Suddenly a face appears in front of me, I know this person, she is young, quite young and very pretty. Which was the first strange thing because I never thought she was pretty. Anyway, we kept looking at each other, and I say (to her) Rowack? Rowack? And she says (to me) Phar Lap? Phar Lap? In my mind’s eye, she looks younger than I remember or perhaps she did look that young all those years ago and I have just forgotten. The time frame when I knew her was in the seventies/early eighties. The scene changes and she stands at a doorway and (I think);enters the room. She is wearing black, the women in the room are wearing black. They are Lebanese, don’t ask me how I know this, I just do.
That’s it. Finish. What is so strange is I haven’t seen or heard, or even thought of this woman for nigh on thirty years. Her husband is the godfather of my three eldest children. I never liked her because I didn’t trust her. she was two faced. Plus she tried to cause trouble.
I rang one of my older sons could he find out from his father if anything had happened. Son tells he (his father) doesn’t mix with any of his friends or anybody. He did say if he remembers he will ask cousin Chris.
This is probably just one of those things, but I still think it very strange.

I believe that would be called a "hypnogogic hallucination," i.e., a half-dream state, usually perceived by people when they're waking up

Thank you for that, Liiisa. I must admit, I’ve never heard of it, went looking for information and learn there are two types of hallucinations - Hypnopompic hallucinations occur in the morning as you are waking and Hypnagogic Hallucinations occur in the evening as you’re falling asleep.
And here’s me thinking only people who are a bit doolally had hallucinations!

You were half asleep but aware of waking up. Nothing spooky about it. Dreams can feel incredible real.

I once had a dream that I touched my tooth, and it fell out. which, as I had a loose tooth, wasn't unusual.
but then, the next day, my brother (accidentally) kicked me in the face, and when I touched my tooth, it fell out!
Sadly, that has been the only prophetic dream to date. I've had other spooky moments, but they've always been a combo of atmosphere and suggestion, no real ghosts.

When my adopted son in Solomon Islands was in his late teens and early twenties , he often got into scrapes. I usually dreamed about him the night before he’d contact me needing help with something. I was back in Australia by this time.

With the odd things going on with my neurolgy/brain workings I sometimes have to stop and think - is this memory real, or is it from a dream?
