OMG poor Edith.
Stuck with a hideous name. Over shadowed by the sisters. Dumped at the alter.
Geez, poor thing.

I like the name Edith.
The acting in this is just awful. I love the sets and costumes though so am generally glued to it.

Like waps I keep on watching just for the lovely sets and costumes and especially the hair styles. I still can't help thinking of Maggie Smith as Professor McGonagall though.

I watch for all the stuff going on around it. I'm finding the convoluted storylines are getting to me. Enough with Bates

you're right webs - the Bates thing is really getting on my tits. I find myself fast forwarding through most of the jail scenes

Yeah. I think he's going to end up killing his cell mate and staying in there.

I'm with you, the bates storyline is weak!
As for Edith. It's always embarrassing to be left at the alter but lately I see these may/dec marriages with the older men and feel sorry for the women. It doesn't make any sense. Odds are we're going to outlive our men anyways - why pick someone 20 years your senior!. This story line hits too close to home.

My three cents:
I did tear up at the Christmas special when they FINALLY got engaged though! Jeeze.
Blergh - I loved Bates at first but that storyline is such a bore now.
I also found it odd that they introduced the storyline of Lord Grantham being a philanderer and them promptly ended it.

The whole storyline of Sybil and Tom being thrown out of Ireland and his objections to his child being born in Britain are ridiculous.

Oh poor Sybil.
I'm so over Robert being a "stuck in the dark ages" kind of ass.
