We've got a coffee experiment at work, they're testing three different version of machine coffee.
I went all they way down there... got coffee #2... which was drinkable...
walked all the way back without spilling coffee, plonked it on my desk, and caught the edge of the screen pedestal thingy, spilling about 85% of a cup of coffee over my desk + notebooks + phone + iPad.
I am under-caffeinated for what I have to do this afternoon. Maybe I'll just open the wine.

What kind of coffee machines?
There are 3 pantries on the floor. The pantry I maintain has been without a fridge for about a month.
Today we got the new fridge but the handle is on the wrong side. This can be changed. They just need to get someone up to do it.
In the meantime, we have a functioning working fucking fridge. Get a motherfucking grip.

1 = Segafredo (which is winning in the votes, but is undrinkable... somehow Italian branding wins though) 2 = Douwe Egberts (Dutch brand.... barely drinkable, will do if it's too cold/wet/windy/dark to go outside) 3 = Rode Pelikan (Dutch brand I guess... as yet untried)

I don't have to clean it... It comes as a full service standard model. So someone comes once a week and deals with it.

Ha - we sent that over to you wino. We just had the wettest September in 12 years and Perth had the wettest in about 120.
Snails eating everything in sight in my garden are REALLY pissing me off.
And earwigs in my artichokes. Really. How many earwigs do you think can live in an artichoke? Hundreds it seems.

Smokers! It's warm in my apt. and I haven't installed my AC yet - actually I wasn't going to install it till next year b/c it should turn colder soon and the thing weighs a ton. So I thought I'd just open the window to get some cool air in my bedroom. But what came in was the smell of smoke, I guess from people smoking on their balconies on lower floors. Gah. I used to not mind it, but now I just find it gross and think of it permeating everything I own. So no fresh air for me:(

Turbotax, fuck off!
No, I am not interested in getting a jump on my taxes when the government, including the IRS, is shut down.

Q, is it too late to suggest blind testing? Brand A B C? Yes. It's completely unscientific, it should be blind testing, and you should have to taste all three at once. But I'm pretty sure they're not bothered.

1. I am exhausted. a combination of too much work + problems sleeping because of leak in bathroom + I'm worried about my mum 2. I'm getting sick because I've caught the virus my stupid colleague came in to work with every day last week. 3. I cant afford to get my mum sick. It will most likely kill her. I fly out to see her on Monday 4. I am broke. 5. financial opportunities seem to only come up at bad times like this. there is an apartment for sale. the vender wants a little more than market value for it, but its probably still a good buy. I'm overwhelmed because of 1-4. Its not likely I'll get compensation from the accident any time soon because I'm still too traumatised to go through all the expenses.

Oh Janeyd, that sucks balls.. I'm more then broke right now, don't know how I'm going to pay for the rent and the husband just had to go to hospital with a hand injury. So he won't be able to look after Peanut when his mom is away on Tuesdays and it'll add a hospital bill.
Somebody just walked in on me expressing milk in the conference room because there was no other space available. A room with huge windows. He didn't even appologise and left the door open. Thanks.
My bike still needs fixing but husband can not do it now, so I'll have to walk to work which adds an hour each day.
Bollocks.

My fucking passive-agressive, shit-talking, disorganized, fucktard of a boss. When I have a situation with a student that has been resolved, it would be really great if he could a)not tell everybody who will listen b)keep my name out of his god damned pie-hole when he's proving his incompetence.
Other than that, I'm dandy. 1 more month.

Still manflu.
Ok, exaggerating slightly but I do have a cold. And had to be in at work by 7:00 today. And have to freelance tonight.
As calling in sick for any of the above was not an option at all......sigh.

1) I didn't sleep well last night. Lots of tossing and turning because of a nightmare about an abandoned dog that had it's eyes removed.
2)It was hot in my apartment this morning. It's going to be in the 80s today. It's fucking October. I should be wearing layers and drinking pumpkin lattes.
3)2 gabby women on the bus who wouldn't shut up long enough for me to get a nap.
4)I haven't walked 5 feet in the door when someone is complaining about that goddamnedfucking refrigerator again!
5)I go down to get coffee and something for breakfast and a woman stepped back to let someone in through the turnstiles and landed hard on my bad foot. Not her fault, she didn't see me but my foot is all bruised.
6) I'm sure I'll find something else.
I'm just having a horrible, no good, really bad day.

I was pissed off by the huge ugly slob sitting at the table next to me at lunch today. His hairy beer-belly hung out below his sweatshirt. He was coughing and sneezing into his bare hands. I hope I didn't catch anything. At least he was not facing me. We were both sitting with our backs to the window. He left before I was finished, so I enjoyed the last bit of my beef chow foon undisturbed.

Yes I know the cleaner does a poor job. Yes I've talked to her. Yes I've fired her BUT I have to go through the formal process step by step or we would face an employment tribunal case and one last point - if you weren't such a slob and at least ran the brush around the toilet pan after an explosion, ran water into the handbasin and used soap, and didn't spill the coffee grounds when making coffee cleaning would be much easier.

Today I'm pissed off about a bar I went to early last night. Went to the bar and ordered a cocktail for the companion, a beer for me and the roast chorizo starter for something to snack on and worked out that it should be around £19 (steepish but it it was it is.....) so had a £20 note ready only to be told that it was actually £21.50 so pulled the card out as I only had £20 on me.
Queried it (as it seemed high and not because I was drunk and obnoxious, honest) and was handed the bill only to be seen that I'd been charged a £2.50 optional service charge. Barman was a bit (i.e. very) sarky and asked everything was in order so answered something like "I think you guys need to look up the definition of optional and service" (if it had of been table service then yeah, I'd at least understand the service charge). Walked back to our seat only to turn around and see the barman smirking, talking to the other barman and pointing at me. Went back and asked if there was some sort of problem and he backed right down.
Left after finishing those drinks and the same barman called out "enjoy your evening and come back soon" in another fairly sarky tone of voice so just glared and left. Went somewhere far nicer for a dessert and a nightcap so at least that incident didn't cloud the evening.
Asked a mate his thoughts on it today and the verdict was that charging an optional service charge and not mentioning it was a pretty cheeky for bar service and concurred that for table service then it's still a bit cheeky but that's the price you pay. Literally I guess.
