We've been selling off stuff on gumtree.
I'm currently waiting for someone to show up to look at LC's old travel cot.
The time agreed was between 9 -11 am. It is almost 10.30 am.
I'm in a world of pain from having pulled or strained some muscles doing housework (don't ask).
This final half hour is going to go really, really slowly.
And if they ask for a demo of putting said travel cot up, forget it. I'll give instructions and they can do it - which as it is one of the most difficult designs to put up (but ace for fitting in a suitcase when you go overseas) it might mean we don't sell it.
Counting down the hours til I can take a muscle relaxant.....

That sucks!
Surprisingly nothing is pissing me off today! I have a farewell lunch at the local Thai place today for an intern from Germany who has been working with me for the last six months and I'm getting my nails done tonight!

She turned up a bit after 11 and we sold the cot, so at least the extra money is making me happy. Putting it up though has made the arm/neck worse.
Still have to walk to the shops to get food for lunch - had been planning on taking LC out today for a treat as the weather is fantastic, so didn't really bother about having lunch stuff at home....

I went shopping, spent $375 on groceries, some cheap pans, tampons, and shit like that.
Came home, cooked a huge pot of something that is supposed to be veggie curry with juat a bit of chicken. I dont want to eat it. Why did i cook? Dont know.

I'm with the dragon on this one.
I feel your pain. I once listed a 1993 Volvo 240 wagon on ebay. The cast of characters that send emails from analytic details-obsessed punctual Amer-Asian soccer moms to stoned Cajun jazz musicians who don't know if today is Tuesday or Thursday. It made for a fun thread on the old TTWT and might make an interesting set of character studies for the novel I will write someday.

Thankfully most people we've dealt with so far have been surprisingly normal, which is good, as we are selling baby stuff and you'd hate to think of the freaks adding to the gene pool. ;-)
We did make the classic newbie error though, of not specifying that we are a smoke free and alas pet free household, so have had to answer that one to pretty much every query.

We're moving house today. Still some packing to do. We are planning an early start to get it done. The twig has been awake since 4 am. I'm supposed to get up in just under an hour. Argh!

Oh Stick, that's a shitter waiting to happen right there! Best of luck with it all though.
Day's only just started here, so so far the only thing pissing me off is that I'm up at 6am and it's not a weekend day.

not exactly pissed off but really really over this 'uk display' thing i have to do. in slight amounts of pain but nothing like HD--just enough to make me not want to go running around shops and cutting and gluing. i was really excited about making a little maypole dance display and now... meh.
ron--isn't that annoying? all week, i cook stuff and then have 0 interest in eating. in fact, it has all looked and smelled crap to me, but the man insists it is tasty.

Not even 10 am yet and already pissed off.
Tomorrow there's a 'redhead festival' in NL and only redheads are allowed there. I find this very stupid and condescending. I mean, there's no 'blonedes' or 'brunettes' festival either, right? I mean... it's only damn hair, like I had a choice when I was being born. PFF!

That's stupid! Unless they are protesting for red headed people? That happened over here a while ago and I thought it was great.

I think it's a festival especially for wankers who get off on seeing 20.000 red haired people. Idiocy, seriously. It's bad enough to be bullied all your life, so yes please stick another lable on us because of a silly thing like hair.

I'm fucking furious about an e-mail I've just received from someone I spent a couple of hours working on a task for yesterday.
Have restrained myself from walking up there and unleashing but have sent an equally shitty e-mail back also cc'ing in his manager (two can play that game.....).
Arsehole.

living in a country where locals cannot legally drink alcohol, and it cannot be sold or served by restaurants. but there are a handful of places where you can drink your own.
on an expat FB forum, people have mentioned a couple of these restaurants simply by saying "place X is byo", and two members have claimed that this is rude, going against forum rules about respecting the host country. how? how is telling someone about a legally permitted activity disrespectful?
especially rich given the number of conversations that come up about keeping dogs as pets.

I love your hair tulip, and would swap it against mine right away!
I was already pissed off as my alarm went off this morning and it still wasn't saturday. Add to that that in the last few weeks I got all these weird and annoying odd jobs to sort out stuff with people in germany / Austria just because I speak the language ...but it's work that partly doesn't fall into my area at all and drives me mad. Spend hours yesterday working my way through social security regulations by the EU...felt like pulling my eyes out!

Fuckwit drivers
I stopped on my bicycle at an intersection, a car pulled up behind me and tooted his horn.
I turned and said "what?"
His answer was that I needed to be aware the traffic around me.
FFS I'm on a bike, if I'm not aware of the traffic around me I'm dead... and if you're behind me it's YOUR job to look out for me.

Left my memory stick in the computer at work, because I was distracted by a very long conversation with the school principal. So I can't do any internet banking, because my secret code thingy is attached. Will have to detour Monday morning to pick it up.

i had a driver once tell me that the roads were not built for bikes. i wanted to say, 'yeah, and they weren't built for your over-sized monstrosity, and IT wasn't built for your over-sized ass, maybe you should spend more time on a bicycle yourself." but my french isn't good enough for those.
so i just said, 'whatever' and pedalled off with the light.

1) That I had to come into work today. My stomach is killing me. 2) That I had to come into work today. I'm aching all over. 3) That I had to come into work today. Because others can't be relied upon to get the job done as instructed when instructed.
