So, as a part of the blossoming (potential....baby steps and all that) new romance I've somehow been talked in to making brunch on Saturday as this weekend is batshit mental busy so Saturday day is about the only time neither of us have any commitments (admittedly my Saturday commitment involves drinking beer and watching rugby)
I've already done scrambled eggs one week and smoked salmon with cream cheese bagels another so any inspirations would be gratefully accepted....
I was thinking breakfast wraps with scrambled eggs, salsa, cheese and some coriander in a wrap but fancy doing something different and well, it's been a while since I've either had the opportunity or could be arsed making breakfast or brunch for anyone.

I was tempted by eggs benedict but it's been a while (scarily about two years.....) since I made that and would prefer a practice run first in this kitchen, let alone hers, rather than fucking it up!
That, and this girl can cook. Apparently she was expecting crap scrambled eggs and (being a fairly cool reserved Finn) commented "I see that you can make scrambled eggs properly" which did crack (no pun intended) me up.
Funny, I quite fancy Vegemite on toast now.

What about a quiche? and some nice bacon on the side? Can be prepared in advance and pretty easy - lots of options for fillings.
French toast? Blueberry Pancakes?

Morning......
Turned out to be breakfast wraps filled with some scrambled eggs, pancetta and some cheese along with french press coffee (not instant like she has....). They went down ok apart from when she said she didn't mind wraps the other day that really meant I'm not a huge fan. Oh well.
I did score extra points yesterday by being able to make macaroni and cheese from scratch last night though. I reckon this girl has cooked more for me in five weeks than the ex did in five years (probably best though after the pasta, peso, tofu, soy sauce and cheese abomination).
I'm thinking oweena's suggestions may come in handy in future.....
