we're meeting american friends we met when living in peru last year.
we decided that curry on brick lane would be a good london experience, and they love curry. aside from all the touts bargain in to get you in, i have no idea how to choose a place, or if there's a particular one to go for.
the current plan is to meander along the road until we get tired of bargaining, and then choose a place that looks like the diners are happy.
unless someone can suggest different?

Go to tooting and eat curry there.
My pick: Apollo banana leaf. Sri Lankan, delicious, cheap and byo.

argh.
HE booked sheba. as we don't live in london, and we're meeting two tourists, we're trying to keep it simple. i ain't got no idea where tooting is?
worse, brick lane has a poutine cart. maybe i can buy some and take home for the next day.

Pick one with lots of Indian ppl in it. Nice theory but the last time I was there it was tourist hell. Don't really have any suggestions or warnings - I haven't had a curry there in years. Pass through there occasionally and nearly every place has won some sort of curry award though! Ask the tout if they'll throw in a round of beer on the house though. Some will do a bit of a deal......
