3 deaths in the last couple of weeks, all in their 90s. My aunt (93), my friends father, 2 weeks short of his hundredth birthday, and a friend, 94.

Sad to hear, Ozzie. One of the negative things about being of a certain age.

Thank you everyone. The good side is, they all had interesting lives, and lived into their 90s.

Listening to a young college dj describe an Eno record that came out when I was their age, as though it was this amazing archaeological find from the deep past. Which I suppose it is, having come out 35 years before they were born.

.... when you start accepting hand me downs from your children. I have just been told that my mobile will not be fully compatible with the Telstra signal as of August 31. I had begun the online search for a replacement but son has offered one of his old (actually, to me quite new) iPhones.

Younger colleague complaining about ancient "boomer" in-laws and I'm over here like "hey now."
Though if she's saying that to me, maybe she doesn't realize how ancient I am

...when you keep pushing the button but the car door doesn't open - until you finally take a good look and realize you've got the garage door opener in hand...

Like psw - when you stand in front of the front door of your house waiting for it to slide open automatically.
And likewise I've tried to open it by pushing the button on my car key.

When you have a knife in one hand and your keys in the other and put the dirty knife back in the drawer and the keys in the dishwasher. Luckily realized before turning the dishwasher on.

When you do a whole lot of things on your day off, and wonder why you’re aching everywhere. Packing and lifting boxes of books into the car was probably the killer. At least the retirement village manager carried them for me at the other end.
