I love a lemon wine sauce on chicken. I've never made it because I'm chicken and I always end up drinking the wine before I can cook with it.
Well no more! After watching someone cook a very simple braised chicken recipe on TV this morning I went and bought a few ingredients (chicken, mushrooms) and everything else I already had in the house.
The sauce is so good I could drink it. Served over arugula with some crusty bread.
So now I can make meatballs (which I love) and I can make a lemon wine sauce for chicken.
Who knows where I can go from here.
I'm just bragging because I'm hopeless in the kitchen.

Yay! Always so satisfying making something you really enjoy.
I made what seemed a lovely dinner last night but it turns out the sauce was far too rich (egg yolk and cheese) and so much time was spent in the bathroom after the meal.

I think I'm going to try making slow cooker ribs next.

How did you make the lemon wine chicken webs? Recipe? I also usually drink the wine instead of cooking, but that sounds like something I'd like a lot.

I am learning to love the things I cook. Or tolerate, at least.
Not sure whether that's my cooking improving or my tastebuds accepting their lot.

there's nothing quite like successfully making a difficult dish. i made sage pesto last night, and i almost gave up because the sage smelled so yucky. but i cracked on, and i can't wait to eat the result.
