Every time we have a flood warning, the cloud seeding conspiracy theorists are out on Facebook.

My podiatrist is no longer available as she has been studying for a different role and is now in her third year of study and has no time for feet!

It's difficult when you get used to someone for a job, and then have to find another one! I learned that the 50s were actually not the 'normal' for countries like the UK. Our ideas about families and adults changed in a massive way during that decade. Kidults (6 minutes)

Electric kettles in the USA take much longer to boil than Australia or the UK, because of the standard electricity voltage. I’m half-watching Q&A.

I much prefer reading to listening to people talk, like I usually put the captions on and turn the sound off if I'm watching a YouTube talk of some sort.

Yeah, I rarely enjoy youtubers because there seems to be a lot of empty chat, so I put on the captions and double the playback. Phar, pfft.

A single unmuffled scooter crossing Paris at night can wake as many as 10,000 people.

WOW groo. I honestly didn't realize that you could see the aurora in both the north and the south!

The sky over Melbs has a slight pink tinge if you look south. A friend a bit south of here and out of the city got some good pics - according to the friend.
In the late 1950's I saw a nice aurora in Canberra - the folks had taken us to the drive-in.

WOW groo. I honestly didn't realize that you could see the aurora in both the north and the south! Neither (apparently) did an interviewer on the BBC last night. The scientist being interviewed mentioned the northern and southern lights, and the interviewer/host thought that "southern lights" referred to the fact that you could see the aurora last night as far south as Florida.

I've seen aurora australis... but apparently this year they're visible as far north as Auckland (which would be the Northern lights being visible in Barcelona)
would be fun to see the northern ones... maybe tonight if I'm still awake when eurovision ends.
