What would you do with a kilo of vacuum packed dates?
ETA: quick search seems to indicate that sticky toffee pudding is a classic use for 200g or so anyway. Any favourite / tried and trusted recipes?

Use them instead of sugar in some baking? Energy balls? Actually, for a kilo I would just eat them

Soak them in orange juice and use them as toppings for ice cream. Dates like this were my favourite special treat in sandwiches when I was a kid.

The tapas place here wraps dates in bacon and fries them. Yum.
Personally, I'd just eat them.

i had butternut squash bhajis with date/tamarind sauce, and used the leftover sauce on some sort of meat dish, with a bit of chili added in. it was really really good, but now for the life of me, i can't remember what it was.
