I recently found out that weighted blankets have little glass or plastic beads in them that create the weight. Great, something else to fill landfills that's not going to break down.

Huh, ok.
I suppose this “Salt Room” down the street would be helpful if you could spend all day in there, then.

Well, heat does help to a degree with aches and pains. But the crystals are bullshit.

I don't understand how salt lamps can help your lungs, or an implant? But yes, if she's feeling better then cool, even if it's just the placebo effect. Salt lamps are supposed to pull the moisture from the air making it less humid and easier to breathe. However, you would need a salt lamp the size of the room, running full time and never leave to have any real affect. If you already live in a dry climate it will do nothing. This is why people with asthma were recommended to go live in Arizona and Nevada during the 1950s and 60s. Where I live, they would be a disaster. It is already so dry our skin itches.

I think it's tasty, but I've only had the fresh stuff from the hipster deli. I think of it as the thing you order when it's too late for coffee and too early for beer.

It’s got a bit of fizz so it’s a soda type feeling on the tongue, but it is very lightly sweetened and the fermentation process gives it good bacteria for the gut. It is based on tea. Lot of folks up here brew their own. Available widely here in grocery stores. Most of the fancy ones are overpriced imho. Interestingly, one branch of the government here is testing samples because some have had the fermentation go on too much and become an alcoholic drink.

Reminds me of the apple juice we used to buy at Puce. Give it a week and you had a pretty fair sparkling cider.
Or my friends, Mr and Mrs Maisey, married 75 years, good SDA folk, indulged one very hot night in an extra bottle of home brewed ginger beer over cards and found that they couldn't stand up.

Since learning I have Diabetes2, I searched for an alternative to orange juice/fruit juice, saw Kombucha in the supermarket fridge, read the information and ingredients, and bought a couple of bottles.
I liked it, it's what I drink when I feel the need for something fizzy or sweet, anything so long as it's not water.
It isn't something I have every day, but it's nice to have sometimes. I like the brand, Remedy, and have tried the different flavours. Original and Apple Crisp are good and I'm also partial to the Hibiscus Kiss and Cherry Plum.
Although it's cheaper to buy the bigger bottle, I prefer buying the smaller size because it's the right amount for a serve. Not cheap, which is why I have it as a treat.

i've also seen medical types saying Kombucha is good for gut bacteria, but possibly not the store bought stuff? This seems to be true for a lot of stuff--to be store safe it needs more pasturising, so not all of the good stuff makes it through.
Phar, have you tried adding a little lime or lemon juice concentrate to your water? or cut up cucumber/mint/basil and let it sit in a jug of water--they add a little aroma and taste to water, without sugar. i drhink a lot of water and find it gets boring after a while.

I've been liking the twinings cold infusion tea bags. Probably very bad for the environment, but good to drink. I will refilll a bottle multiple times with the same bag.

The self-styled "environmental resort" just up the road from our place ("nestled in a pristine and ancient world" - actually it's brush box regrowth and 50 years go was a fully cleared dairy farm) advertises "vowel renewal and commitment ceremonies."
Is this some sort of speech therapy or do they provide colonic irrigation, but have misspelled bowel?

Considering I use 8 tea bags per gallon of "Sun tea", it's probably more efficient? It's still cheaper and better than buying commercially processed tea in a bottle.

Tea would fall under the 'you can pry it from my cold dead hands' category. Yes you can buy tea leaves but who has time to faff with that in the morning before work?

Appalling. Hopefully the young people who survive this epidemic will be pro-vaccination, stop this kind of idiocy in the future? It's just unbelievable.

I'm awaiting a call from flakey friend. Flakey friend is a gay man and therefore has no business in women's vaginas but he has asked me about the vagina cleanse that Ms Paltrow peddles.
