One of my local bookshops is fully online but offers fresh juice with your order for a couple of extra euro... This isn't my local, far from it, but McNally Jackson is one of my favourite bookstores in the world. They've just produced a series of lists on themes - each list is a mix of classic and modern, seems like a good source of new things to read. EG: "Escape to another place" for great travel writing. Check out their lists from the home page. What's your local bookstore doing?

Sob. Mine closed November last year. The owner still posts his 'book trail' on FB so I can see what books to read, which does help.

McNally Jackson is one of my favorite bookstores in the world too! Locally, my favorite bookstore ( Politics and Prose) is offering free shipping on everything right now. I've already ordered two packages from them, because I want them to still be there when all this is over. My favorite local used bookstore ( Capitol Hill Books) is offering grab bags - you give them money, and they select a bunch of surprise books and ship them to you. I haven't done that yet, but am tempted to.

Love the idea of Grab bags.
Have you guys read "Diary of a Bookseller"?
That shop is now closed for the duration but probably OK for online stuff.

If you’re in Australia, Brotherhood books ships orders of 3 or more books for free. It’s a charity second-hand bookshop based in Melbourne, but they ship all over Australia. My orders usually arrive the next day.

I should check out what the postage is like from Cracked and Spineless in Hobart. I follow the shop on social media, the guy who runs it is pleasantly insane.

in the news today that here about 30% of bookstores is at risk of going bankrupt :-( I need to get my hands on my new bookclub read, so will be trying to support a favourite store soon.

Bookshops are to be allowed to reopen here from Monday. Even though I have unread books on my shelf still, I will be going straight in to the one at the corner of my street and buying something.
