Because I perform best under time pressure, I assume other people do too. You have 12 hours to recommend really good audiobooks, so I can download them on my library app before it knows I've left the country.

If you like mysteries, anything by Donna Leon, Louise Penny or Richard Osman.

I just saw this so I'm late with suggestions but books I loved on audio =
A Gentleman in Moscow Lincoln in the Bardo (full cast lead by Nick Offerman, amazing) A Man Called Ove The Heaven and Earth Grocery Store The Good Wife of Bath The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy but only if it's read by Stephen Fry Good Omens - read by Neil Gaiman All the Discworld books read by Stephen Briggs or Nigel Planer (the new ones are okay but the originals are a gem)

I got Big Sky by Kate Atkinson, which has been excellent and is 11 hrs.
Thanks for the Pratchett recommends, I wouldn't have known about the different readers.

My library doesn't have Big Sky electronically. Very annoying.

The books turned out to be a lot easier than reading in flight, especially when little tired.

The only problem with audio books is trying to listen to two books at the same time. When I was subway commuting I could have as many as 3 books going. Now, because I don't want to miss out on my new books I try to listen to an old book when falling asleep so I don't worry about missing out.

Yes, I had to rewind a few times on the airplane. But it was more restful than movies.
