I can only see two?
I always use google maps (not to check whether dodgy, but to check it out)
I don't own a fishing vest.

My travel days are over but I always carried a bra stash packet, tucked into the obvious place, with note in local currency and the hotel card. Gives me peace of mind. Fortunately I'm big busted.

There were definitely more than 2.

I figured out how to get it to work.
I do a lot of these already! Always use Google Street View to see what the walk between the hotel and transit will be like, use the bathroom downstairs on the way out by metro at National Airport, carry a sarong, etc (though no, it really isn't useful as a raincoat), carry a multiplug extension, wear merino t-shirts, carry plastic cutlery, etc.
One thing they say that I'm not going to do is to take a 30-gallon scented trash bag? That'll make the entire backpack smell like trash bag deodorizer, which is nasty.

I'd never heard of the change the booking date and then cancelling. That's just nasty.

Agree about that, Hal. Plus this thing this guy did with the bicycles, riding them for a half hour and then getting a new bicycle for another half hour? I mean, some people are just silly about saving money.

I mean, some people are just silly about saving money. We get half an hour's free bike rental with our transport tickets. I use this almost exclusively if I'm waiting for a tram and the tram suddenly doesn't arrive so I hop on a bike for a couple of stops. I've never used one for more than 30 minutes. As for my partner, however, I can completely see him returning the bike and rehiring it to avoid going over the half hour ;-)

Doing it once is reasonable, but this guy seemed to be doing it all day? I am way too lazy for that

It's totally OK if you think he's crazy too ;-)

British travel hack: find a Wetherspoons' pub. They are nothing amazing for food or drink (although we go to one with the inlaws and it's reliably decent plus cheap), BUT it's really easy to get to their toilets for free, and they're often in really lovely buildings.

That toilet hack is McDonald's here. I don't eat their food, but am glad to use their restrooms when I'm out in the hinterlands.

Agree about that, Hal. Plus this thing this guy did with the bicycles, riding them for a half hour and then getting a new bicycle for another half hour? I mean, some people are just silly about saving money. I thought so too, but then the fact that they were getting tons of travel points for each 'rental' made it worthwhile, so props to them. My travel hack is to bring a sealable hot beverage cup. This gets around some airlines saying your can't bring a hot drink on board--understandable that they don't' want burns on board, but then they'll serve a hot coffee? But even better, mnay places give a discount. My small filter coffees at airport Pret a Manget cost 49 pence. Then my sister and I shared an ice tea for lunch one day--I put in a small amount, swirled it around, swallowed, grimaced, then poured the rest in--tasted fine. Of course, LHR security decided my coffee cup was a bottle of liquid, so I got stuck with a 20 minute delay waiting for an agent to check by hand. Less good. -If you have a hard-cased carry on bag, put it in the overhead on its side. This frees up more space.
