Have you ever kept a hotel room for the day even though you were not staying all night? I know this is strange but on my departure day from Lima the plane doesn't leave until midnight. I would so like an hour or more in the evening to regroup, clean up and get ready to be traveling all night and into the next day.
I don't know if I'm over thinking this.
Any ideas?

I have, especially when I have a very early/late flight. It's actually quite nice to freshen up, laze about, order room service, get a massage at the spa... that kind of thing.

In those circumstances, it makes perfect sense, I think.

Problem solved. Found a hotel with a spa, casino and dolphins. I can rest and play up until time to go to the airport without the stress of retrieving luggage at the last minute, reorganizing things and preparing to fly while feeling grungy.

Dolphins?? Sounds like a great place.
I have done the late check out or have the room for the night to be able to use everything and rest up when I've had a really late flight.

Yeah, I've done it often when my flight home is late in the day.
