I have a memory like a sieve but a poster who lives there sent me a PM about a great Indian restaurant there and I would love to go but can't read the PM, grr!
I will be there for Chinese new year if anyone has any other advice or will be there.

Not living in HK, but recommendations:
1. Dim sum/Yum cha at City Hall - go early, because there is a long, long queue otherwise.
2. Breakfast at the Australian Dairy Company for the best scrambled eggs EVER. Yes, you have to stand in line. No, it is not really Australian (no idea where the name came from). But it is totally worth it. Nearest MTR is Jordan.
3. Lotus (Mid-Levels at Central - just off the escalator) for Thai tapas and cocktails.
4. High Tea at the Peninsula Hotel (Kowloon).

Hi I live in HK.
Indian restaurant - does a mention of Chungking Mansions ring any bells? It's full of cheap and cheeful Indian places.
There's also Woodlands, a vegetarian place.
More upscale Indians include Bombay Dreams, Jashan and Tandoor.
I agree with Jules' recommendation no. 1
High Tea at The Pen (Afternoon tea to be pedantic) is a bit of an institution but there are better options.
Get the South China Morning Post on a Thursday for its Food and Wine supplement with listings. Also Time Out and HK Mag are okay for recommendations.
