Quick question -
If I've made a curry for tonight's dinner that contains mostly chickpeas, sweet potato, tomatoes and spinach, is it OK to leave it in the pan with the lid on for a few hours until we're ready to eat it? Heat off or on low?
Or should I wait for it to cool a little then put it in the fridge to warm up later?

Why would you put a curry in the fridge? Leave it, let the flavours develop. Sounds good.

given that the massive e-coli outbreak in europe a couple summers ago was traced back to alfalfa sprouts, i wouldn't assume that veg are risk free. i would put it in the fridge. the story about 'no hot dishes in the fridge' is left from days of hte icebox, where a hot dish would actually diminish the box's cooling ability. and yes, i know this is all academic now.
