We soaked it overnight and then rinsed and drained this morning. In order to make it 'safe' should bubbling it on the 'high' setting for a bit be enough (followed by several hours on 'low'), or are we about to give ourselves horrible tummy pains?
I could check the exact type of slow cooker if that would help. There's plenty of liquid in there.

I thought I'd read somewhere that it would be ok on low, but having googled I think that you should boil for a few minutes. I reckon putting on high should work. I had my stew today on low all day, put it to high when I got home and it was bubbling within minutes.
