I need a few new sauce pans and am happy to invest a bit (not crazy!) money for some quality. There is so much choice out there though, so would like to hear what you use. These will be small and medium pans, for making sauces in and boiling pasta. I used to have non stick coated pans in the past but with the cheap ones the coating always comes off after a few years. I don't have a dishwasher and really don't like scrubbing stuff that is burned into the pan. I have one cast iron big pot that I use for stews and love but I don't really see the advantage for smaller pots, and the weight puts me off (especially with my ongoing wrist/shoulder issues). FYI I have a gas hob. I'm thinking of these ones, they seem to have good reviews, but thought it's worth surveying you guys first! www.amazon.co.uk/Jamie-Oliver-Tefal-Enamel-Saucepan/dp/B002MXX7VM/ref=sr_1_5?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1386153493&sr=1-5&keywords=tefal+sauce+pans+non+stick

Haven't used the Jamie ones, but they seem to be okay.
It has the things I like - glass lid, the ability to go into the oven as well as on the stove top.
I like feeling a pan before I buy it to get an idea of the weight, and the thickness of the base.
I have some circulon ones that I really love - they were a wedding present and are still going well after 8 years of fairly constant use. They don't have the glass lid, but other than that they are great.

Personally I always find TK Maxx great for that kind of shopping, cheaper than normal and you get to feel the weight of them. I have no experience with the one linked.

I have Sainsbury's copper bottom ones and they're great. I would recommend them.

I have the same as cake and would recommend them. I'm big believer of heavy bottom pans and the copper bottom helps distribute the heat evenly. There is also no nasty non-stick coating that can scrape off over time.

But don't you get stuff stick to the bottom without the coating? I hate the burned bits and scrubbing the pans, bad memories from childhood, which is why I love non stick coating...

Nope. It obviously has something that stops sticking. They wash up a treat.
