slightly harder in Muslim countries though - generally a UK trip, in the suitcase, and frozen for future use

surely it lives a long time unfrozen? i've never seen it in the fridge at a market.

in this climate it's best to freeze as much as possible in a big full chest freezer - so when the power browns out or blacks out even on some days, and the AC goes, and the house temp rises to over 40c.... the meat is still cold for up to 24 hours, when in the freezer.

One kg of chicken drumsticks and a jar of this. I like Country French as it tastes home made and I don't brown the chicken either. Cover with foil, cook in oven for 90 minutes or so. ETA: The above dish on its own if I'm really lazy but if I'm just normal lazy, then chop potatoes into small pieces or chip shapes, put in a shallow baking dish covered with baking paper, add a little olive oil, salt and whatever herbs I feel like and put in oven.
