What's the best way (train I guess) and most reasonable price to get from Brugge to Amsterdam which is also reasonably fast.

Burges? (Sounds like you're burping something)/ You'd have to go through Antwerp (and maybe Ghent first), there's a direct train to Amsterdam from Antwerp every few hours. You can check your timetable and book your ticket here.

Yep, changeover in Antwerp, will take about 3 hours I'd guess and about 50,- euro's for a single.

What they said. Train from Antwerp to Amsterdam is a high speed train (Thalys) so prices can vary. Cheaper option is local trains but that means slow train from Antwerp to just across the Dutch border, and then an intercity train to Amsterdam. Total travel time A -> A is a short 3 hours (thalys would be around half I think)
