I have a jar of coffee powder that's hardened. The powder, that is. Is there anything I can do to use the coffee, or it's time to just throw it away? (fwiw, the jar's made of glass).

I certainly wouldn't attempt to make coffee out of it. I know that we're all trying to stop wasting food, but I'll admit that I'd put the powder in the trash and recycle the jar.

If it was me, I'd try and break it up - if it does so easily, I'd use it (maybe in baking if you aren't up to drinking it) but if it now resembles a hockey puck, chuck it (or use it as a door stop?)

Life's too short to drink bad coffee. I'd chuck it.

This. If it comes apart more or less readily, I'd use it. If it's serious work to get powder out of it, chuck it.
