Because I love just about every kind of Middle Eastern food I usually try a new recipe out for Thanksgiving (we don't do the traditional turkey meal). This year I tripped across a recipe for Shakshouka. Made it and it is so good. Now I'm googling for all the different variations you can make.
Anyone else have a recent food discovery that you're loving? Or, if you have a favorite recipe for shakshouka, please share.

I LOVE shakshuka! I've never made a very good version of it, but whenever I have ordered it in a cafe it's been delish. Now I want shakshuka...

I make this reasonably often, only I didn't know it was called this!

i don't like them in salads, by themselves, or blobbing about whole in my soup. (they look like bloody little brains.)
but i don't mind a sauce. not my favourite, but ok. of course i could have made this tonight, and forgot.

Mm, sounds good. And I also don't like raw tomatoes, but in a sauce they are good!

I actually have a bit a phobia when it comes to raw tomatoes (the glibbery bit inside...uck), but love tomatoes sauce, passata, ketchup, soup...
I'm not keen enough on eggs to be tempted by the dish though!

I have eggs maybe once a month, max twice a month - they always make me feel a tiny bit nauseous - or more as if I have a stone in my tummy afterwards. Which is a shame as it's great protein source! I find eggs are best for baking:)
