I'm sorry, it's just foul-tasting. One branch of my family is from Kerala where they use coconut oil for cooking extensively. Super-food or not, I find it just yucky.

I've never tried it. My ex housemate who was a personal trainer with a crypto eating disorder constantly put alleged "superfoods" on his fb. That's why I liked this irreverent post.

Shannon is a breath of fresh air. My FB newsfeed is scarily busy with food photos/updates by clean eating friends.

I do like the flavour and use it a bit, but not because it's a superfood.
I like Keralan cuisine!

One person's clean eating is another person's orthorexia.

I can't drink that coconut water that everyone else drinks. I find it vile.

Oops, I'm one of those clean eating posters on facebook as HD probably sees!
I use coconut oil and I like the taste. MrCat is ok with it too.
I've also made some slices with it using dates and they are also pretty nice as a treat instead of having chocolate. MrCat however, thinks they are horrible!

Nah, you aren't one of the annoying ones. A few recipes and then posts of yummy desserts at Oliver Browns cafe doesn't put you in the orthorexic category!

Ha, yes I do contradict myself with the healthy recipes and then the Oliver Brown visits.

One person's clean eating is another person's orthorexia. Orthorexia - I had to google that. Good word orthorexia. Now when Junior tells me off for eating "junk" or "unhealthy", I can tell him he's suffering from orthorexia. Never heard of Shannon's Kitchen, but reading the link, she's a breath of fresh air.

Shannon is a breath of fresh air. My FB newsfeed is scarily busy with food photos/updates by clean eating friends. Snap. Although I guess (hope) I've been cluttering up theirs in return with Facebook check ins and photos at various pubs lately as it seems to be birthday season again......
