I have about 8 kiwifruits, a LOT of inca berries, lots of pears (but they don't seem to be ripe yet, still quite hard), a huge mango and a grapefruit.
what can I do with this?? the kiwi's are nearly overripe, as is the mango.
I don't eat a lot of fruit as it is (only in yoghurt, or maybe an apple sometimes) so I'm stuck. everyone tells me to make smoothies but I never make smoothies (wouldn't know how). so, what else can I do to get rid of this??

Do you have a big enough freezer to do some purees and freeze them?
Oh, and I've made some kiwifruit muffins before, they were yummy!

clearly I really am clueless about fruit. what would I do with frozen pureed fruit?
do you have a recipe for the kiwifruit muffins?

so after some research, I'll bake kiwi muffins, make mango chutney to go with a curry later this week, and use some more fruit in a chicory salad for (part of) dinner tonight. hopefully some of the pear I can use in a pasta & blue cheese dinner this week too.
and a good reminder NOT to order this veggie (and fruit) box again... I can't handle not knowing what I'm getting, and then being stuck with this much fruit.

Pears can be good cooked in red wine, especially if they don't seem to be getting soft.

Have you found a recipe? I can't remember which one I used, there are so many out there!
The purees I'd use in other cooking or stir through porridge or in fruit salads etc at a later date. Or again, use as smoothies.

yes, found a recipe. just getting them out of the oven now, though not too sure what I think... (put them back in for 10 minutes when I tried one which wasn't quite cooked through).
also not too sure about the chutney that should be nearly done...
it's not a good food week. a chicory dish I made on Saturday was also a complete failure.

Not keen on baked fruit so no ideas.
I had to look up inca berries. Called physalis here but not very common.

yeah, those I still have no clue with what to do with. I used them in yoghurt & muesli yesterday but didn't like it much. supposed to be good in smoothies (but well, see OP). (and had assumed they'd be called the same in English, clearly not. I think it's some kind of 'superfood')

This is why we don't get a CSA, cool as they are - I just can't cope with random assortments of fruit and veg! I worry that it would all go bad.
If you still have any pears left, put them in a paper bag to help them ripen and then slice them up and eat them with thin slices of good cheese. I can eat countless pears if there's just a little nice cheese. You can also make pear puree that's like applesauce- I cut them up and put them in a pot and just boil the crap out of them, add some raisins if you like; I use apple cider to boil them in, then add some cinnamon and cloves. That's nice to top with a dollop of yogurt or put on top of cottage cheese or eat with bread or something. And you can freeze it.

Inca berries are called cape gooseberries here - they're actually a weed in one area of the state - I was shocked at how they had taken over the natural bushland in the Margaret River area when I visited last year.
Anyway, I would use them in the chutney too, but obvs too late. They are related to tomatilloes, btw, they have the same papery outer shell on the bush.
I made a pear and blue cheese pizza on the weekend - you can also add prosciutto to that if you eat meat.
Probably what I would have done is made a pear and inca berry chutney. Eaten the mango as is, or made mango sticky rice, the kiwi fruit I would probably have just eaten as is too, unless they were too ripe (soft) and then I would just make into a smoothy or a mini lot of jam (with the grapefruit).
