My favorite thing at street fairs is to get a lamb kabob with a piece of bread wrapped around it.
But we all know that's taking your life in your hands.
So at the farmer's market this morning I was early enough to get some lamb for kabobs and I made my own, and put it on a piece of baguette with loads of onions and garlic and some delicious sprigs of aparagrass.
I am so excited that I have enough to have another one tomorrow.
woohoo!
Street meat. It's what's for dinner.

Ha, I was thinking street meat = road kill and was wondering what exactly you'd killed and were cooking. For New York, I was sort of limited to thinking rat or pigeon!

Noooooo, I wouldn't eat cat. It would taste mean.
Street meat is meat you get from vendors on the street, which in some places might be cat, but not in NY.
As for Pigeon, I saw some pigeons the other day that were so fat they could have been mistaken for chickens.

You could get a souvlaki from Dafni - not far from you I think.
