Go Argentina!
Apologies to the kiwis here but I can't support your lot......not least because the boss is a rugby-mad kiwi.
Although I did have someone ask why I wasn't supporting New Zealand as surely our sporting grudge is history now. I had to ask them if they thought Scotland would be supporting England any time soon and things went a bit quiet.

Not much interest - watched the opening ceremony and 1st half of England match. Great result for Japan though.

Oh, I completely forgot. I'm going to see Canada v France.
I'm not hugely interested either but it's an event......

No TV at River's place and also no TV here in Berlin. So even if I had any interest in watching it (which I don't), I wouldn't be able to.

Am watching it in a 'second-hand smoke' kind of way. The timing is tricky and most of what I've seen has been highlights rather than full games.
What an amazing result by Japan though!

I'm a big rugby fan and following as much of it as I can online but hate the different time zones.
Wales has a difficult pool so we'll be lucky to get ahead this year.

Yay Japan! I did just post this video of the Samoan team elsewhere... I'm not really a rugby fan, so following in a vague way. Fair enough you don't cheer for the Kiwis, I won't cheer for the Aussies unless my nephew ends up playing for them.

It's on in my house but I wouldn't say I was watching it in an active way.
I did get brownie points for telling mr s to watch the Japan match Asap before he read about it on Sunday morning though (he was out camping in the woods Saturday night).

given that it took me a couple of minutes to work out what WRC was, erm, no.
although there was quite a bit of it on radio 4 this morning, which was unexpected.

I was looking at the pools online, so weird - the 2nd, 3rd and 4th ranked countries are all in one pool. That seems daft to me.
But I'm used to the design of the draws in tennis which are designed to make sure the top seeds meet in the final.

given that it took me a couple of minutes to work out what WRC was, erm, no. to be fair, I had no idea that this was on. or rather, I knew there was some big rugby thing on. and I saw some coverage of a Japanese rugby thing on Japanese tv earlier this week, which was weird, because I had never heard of a Japanese rugby team and they looked very happy. It took a while before I connected the two... I hope they continue to do well though, although have no idea how realistic that is.

Well fuck me! I know Scotland are usually decent in defence, but really pleased to see how well they played today. I used to disappointment.

The Japanese team; you can entertain yourself looking at all those traditional Japanese names.
It's what Italy did 15 years ago.

Apparently my people did alright yesterday......missed as was working, commuting and working again.
Kinda wish I hadn't watched Liverpool v Carlisle though. Liverpool weren't great. And in other news Tuesday follows Monday.

I'm watching the games when I can. The timing is still just so difficult considering I don't have sky so have to figure out when the games are bloody well on.

Yep. I'm still laughing about an English mate of mine texting me about 90 seconds after the game finished saying "need more booze". Then there was this photo......

They are.
(Not fussed about rugby but going out in the group stage at a home World Cup is a bad thing)
