Seems I go and buy a jar of it every time I think of making something that contains it.
I found 3 bottles of dried ground cumin on my spice shelves. Good thing I looked before I went and bought a 4th.

Just 1, but it's pretty big. I got it from Penzey's last time I was in Minnesota.

Just the 1. But I have two small jars of a Moroccan seasoning mix and two jars of cloves. With the cloves, one is just sort of the heads that are left in the almost empty jar and I bought a new jar for when I need to stud things with the whole clove.

Turns out I have none, but I do have three pots of cinnamon. Are they all the same kind? I have ground cinnamon and stick cinnamon so I have 2. I dropped an entire container of herbs de Provence and the creamer that my mother bought to go with my set of dishes when I moved out while checking to see what I had before I went shopping. Neither survived.

The same kind down to the brand, I can only blame forgetfulness as it's not even something I use that much or often. Mind you i read somewhere it's very effective against the little fluffy white mold you get on top of the soil in house plants (and it really is--I did it once months ago and the mold that always reappeared no matter what i did hasn't come back), so I didn't feel too wasteful spooning it on my plants!

Only a half left. I love it on lamb and also with eggs, or veggies so use it a lot. Have about 8 sorts of paprika though - and hardly ever use it now. Prefer cayenne.

Well I used all of 1/4 of a teaspoon in my meatball recipe.
Now I just need to make these meatballs every day for the next 2 years.

I don't have any. Lots of other spices and herbs, though.

I have two! Plus two jars of ground cinnamon. And two more of smoked paprika. Mind you, the rate I go through smoked paprika it'll need replacing fairly soon.

None (don't make Indian food or eat meat). I do have several jars of whole nutmeg and various herb mixes for fish though.

also love cumin, and get through it pretty fast. it seems to stick, almost like it's humid?? i would probably use it in everything if i could. i really like a man to smell slightly like cumin.
will try to remember that cinnamon tip. we get that white fluffy stuff a lot.

We have a little spice shop around the corner. All the spices come in bags for a lot less money than the little spice jars in supermarkets. So I have cumin jar that I refill. It probably loses flavour after a while, so maybe the third jar at the back isn't as good as the newer ones.

my parents have a 'bulk barn' in their city. i really miss it. i hate having to buy containers everytime i get something, and i don't always want the big bag offered by the indian grocers around here.

I run out of cumin faster than any other spice, there's only ever one pot in the cupboard.

The good thing is, these are recyclable glass jars so I can put them in with the recycling.

Because we buy fresh and refill as needed, we seldom have extra jars of spices. On the other hand, I probably have 4 or 5 bottles of rum (maybe the same with vodka) which are opened and not finished off.

I make a lot of Mexican inspired food, so I use a lot of cumin. It's one of my favorite spices. I have a glass jar with a stopper, and then I just refill it on a regular basis.
Cinnamon though...probably several.
