Given the state of the world with random attack type stuff going on, are you hesitating at all on travel/going out?
I know it is time to be strong and go on about our daily business, but I am feeling slightly wobbly.

I’ve got a ticket for a gig at the O2 in London in 10 days’ time (big concert venue) and I have to admit I did think twice about going. But the security there will be tight so it should be ok. I don’t think you can really avoid all public areas because there might be someone with a knife :/

I guess I didn't consider that I work in the 2nd most dangerous city in the US. Of course that's from a different sort of violence. Still wrong place wrong time is all needed for a bad outcome. And traffic crashes kill more people than anything as I recall.

no! If I choose not to go out it's just because I'd prefer to be asleep.
The only thing I'm apprehensive about is what it's going to be like coming back through immigration when I go to Panama this summer, but that's more about leaving enough time for whatever new bullshit they come up with between now and then.

I've cancelled two events this week but that is down to being sick, not fear of going out.
I know that if I were going out into a big crowd in the next few days I'd feel wary but still go. And then I'd get complacent again.

Nope, not for a second. If I did it would feel like they won. Same reason I never hesitated when the IRA was doing the bombing.
Also it's still a much higher chance to be killed in a car accident and a whole lot of other ways

I was at a gig on Saturday night when the attacks happened in London. My friend and I discussed it afterwards and we're sure we know exactly when it happened - a bunch of Special Forces swept the crowd just in front of us.
No, I'm not stopping doing anything travel or event wise. Going to another gig in London in less than two weeks.

I don't think so, but then I don't go to many gigs anyway.
The craziest thing is that when we do go, we are always the first to arrive because partner hates to be late. If they start doing security searches, Argh. We'll be arriving an hour earlier.

I'm not changing what I do at all. I'm in London a lot these days.
But I'll admit that on Sunday, I was a tiny bit nervous about travelling into St Pancras, using the tube, and going to the US Embassy all at rush hour on Monday morning, then back again at evening rush hour. But that was beforehand. Once I was actually there and doing it, I didn't give it a thought.

Since my travel over the next two years will be mainly rural and Outback Australia, with a few bits of South Pacific, I don't expect any issues.

I'm waiting for all the people who didn't believe me when i said that Iran was really safe, to start saying "I told you so"

No hesitation.
Won't stop doing what I enjoy due to assholes.
I'd rather die while out living life and experiencing the world than slowly rotting away hiding from the dark forces of the world.

Agree completely. For years I told my anxious worrying mother that if I died doing something I wanted to do I would be happy - and no one had forced that decision. Second line of defence was "I could get wiped out on the way home tonight by a drunken driver". Seems ironic that she actually died of the issues caused when she fell out of bed and ruptured her spleen.

The only hesitation I've had over the last week is that we're booked on Qatar Airlines in September and Qatar seems a little ... isolated at the moment.
That, and whether the flight will be longer because of the airspace changes :-O

Why should I have to change my way of life because some murderous little fuckwits go around killing people? I refuse to stop going out or travelling and doing what I want to do. Bugger em.
