san sebastian/bilbao? creative tapas, great seafood. you could drive the coast, or the rioja/navarre region for great wines as well.

I really enjoyed the Champagne region the past weekend: good food, champagne (!!), cute little towns (but probably requires a car for optimal touring the region).

sorry, i got nothing on those. despite visiting paris about 10 times, i never seem to see anything except what is on the tourist hop on/off boat. (which, over all, i recommend)
