I particularly love the "Staff Recommends" table (or whatever they have as the equivalent now since I haven't been there since a couple of years before the plague). I agree about the afterlife bookstore tour idea.

On our ABC show China Tonight, they said the Chinese government wants to control the reincarnation of the Dalai Lama. Are they serious?

Reading insect repellent reviews for some reason, and this one cracked me up:
"But the best thing I can say about it is using it on trips to Newfoundland Canada where there r few ticks but many huge black flys the size of rodan. That can pickup young children and small animals. It worked great"

I just drove home past a father walking his 3 boys home from school. They all had mullets. LC's school ban mullets, but some of the kids flirt with the style. Two students did the fundraiser 'mullets for mental health' the other year and had permission to rock their mullets at school.

looking out at a very fat squirrel, happily eating the bird seed that spilled out of a container that got knocked over.
When I went to close it, I found that a small but determined critter has chewed a long slash in the plastic.

Didn't dare to LOL at the Jewish deli as the waiter was explaining the menu to the two Chinese ladies at the next table. The shoe was on the other foot.

This comment on a local Facebook page, after someone complained about being filmed at the self checkouts in Woolworths. “That program is so faulty. It wouldn’t let me check out yesterday because I hadn’t paid for my daughter 😂 she was standing in front of the trolley and apparently was flagged as goods.”

Recent laugh:
LC has taken history as an elective at school. Their teacher is using movies to prompt discussions on certain eras and events. So it was Gladiator for Ancient Rome. A choice of The Book Thief or Jojo Rabbit for Germany in WWII.
And later in the year they will be looking at the American Civil War. So I googled to see what movies that might be, and Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter, turned up in the results.

this is our very very loud entitled new neighbor, who knows "thought leaders" wanna bet how long this tourist lasts?
"I’m Mike Kim — a business coach and marketing strategist who specializes in personal branding, product launch strategies, and copywriting. My core philosophy of marketing is this:
Marketing isn’t about closing a sale, it’s about opening a relationship.
When we get this part of marketing right, results follow. I’ve used this same approach to serve today’s most influential thought leaders including John Maxwell, Donald Miller, Catalyst, and Daniel G. Amen, MD."
