Fingers. WE sang about fingers. I am remembering, as a child, thinking that the original rhyme was about tiggers. I was shocked to learn that some kids sang it wrong.

Me, talking at my partner this afternoon. he is about a year and a half older than me, and is horrifically allergic to cats.
I'm going to start day drinking. A debilitating day drinking habit is the only way my pension will last until I die. Otherwise, I'm going to live to 100, and so will you. I'll only have about 18 months to get all those cats I've promised myself. I won't have time to spend the money i'll get from your pensions/investments, even with all those cats, so I'll put it into a trust fund for the cats. which will piss off my nephew, but he'll be in his 70s by then, and won't risk getting too angry about it in case it triggers a heart attack.

Mr S is also allergic to cats. I've told him if he ever cheats on me I'll chuck him out and get a cat. I'm older than him so may not get any cat years in retirement.

It's annoying because he likes cats, and they like him, but his breathing apparatus doesn't approve.

I ooops and book a crafting class the first night of Rosh Hashanah.
It's giving me an excuse to not go to my family for lousy food.

The volunteer resident who delivers the mail within the village brought me a parcel this morning. And the cat escaped, and hid under the car, while I was running around in my nightie! Fortunately, I left the screen door open, and she ran back inside.

One of the Tate brothers boasted about their home on twitter. For those lucky enough not to know there are two brothers charged with sex crimes including human trafficking living under house arrest. They are proudly alpha male.
Their boast goes "we have a gym and a podcast room and not a gay ornament in site[sic]"
And twitter is doing what twitter does best... providing images of gay ornaments including Christmas Village People.
And then Paul Sinha, who is gay, posted this:
"There’s a specialist room where we spend hours every day training our muscles to look as photogenic as possible, to inspire our male fanbase to keep funding us. But there are no gay ornaments. I repeat, no gay ornaments. "

I saw a map of global potato consumption, and Belarus was like 20% more than anything else, so I was about to say out loud to pero "They sure eat a lot of potatoes in Belarus." But knowing that that would be completely out of the blue made me start laughing so hard that I had to leave the room. It's making me laugh again right now.

I was going like "oh man, this looks amazing" at this photo of a dish from a Korean restaurant, but then laughed at the caption ("A heaping bowl of browned and glistening intestines"). I know it's probably good, but eeeew lol

You have to laugh. Every week, we have a different problem with the church computers. Today the program, Pro Presenter, kept freezing. I’m feeling so overtired and cranky about other things that I just had to laugh.

Two things 1) A friend is involved with Guide Dogs, and was talking about the puppies she saw today. I did not know that they cycle through the alphabet to give names to each litter, and these dogs all have names starting with Y. Clipper and I were racking our brains to think of 12 Y names, came up with a few and then found out those names were all taken last time round. And that sometimes the society just makes up names. So we were being silly and converting other names to names starting with Y. 2) Sports Day photos at LC's school today. All the various sports teams get their photos taken (interestingly, there was a wheelchair basketball team. There is a push to make that a mixed ability sport). What amuses me is that the debating and chess teams are included in this, and have to show up in the offical sports uniform for the photos. This includes the college tracksuit. LC has the top (which is a bit small now) but not the pants. Never bothered to buy them as he just doesn't feel the cold. So he sorted out with a mate for that kid to bring his tracksuit pants so LC could put them on for the photo and wear the shorts the rest of the day. But, it turns out that kid was getting a photo taken as well and hadn't realised, so had only bought in the pants. So LC leant him his jacket and hung out in the bathroom in his shorts and top (thankfully they were in timeslots that were after each other). Then his mate handed over the clothes for LC. The track pants were size 10. My child is very, very tall. He had to keep his shorts on, pull the pants down to the edge of the jacket and still had a lot of leg on display. I cannot wait for the photo. Must have looked ridiculous!

There was a fire at a furniture store down the street, which I know doesn't sound particularly funny, but we remembered that their ads on Spanish TV used to be like "Casa Furniture, donde que está quemando!" like the prices are so low they're on fire with excitement or something. The logo also has flames around it.
It's not that funny because someone was injured, but we couldn't help giggling at the fact that Casa Furniture was IRL quemando.

pero told someone in a radio station chat that I had a copy of some obscure record that they were talking about, so the guy said "where did you meet this wife who likes such quality music?" So now I'm tempted to call myself Quality Music Wife.

Always the way. LC needed the medicare card number for a form a few weeks back, and then handed me the card. I was lazy and didn't put it in my wallet straight away. When I was looking for it the other day, I couldn't see it in the wallet or anywhere in the house. So today, when we got back from the dentists (thankfully they have the number on file) I decided it was finally time to order a new one. Did that, closed laptop, went to put health insurance card back in the correct pocket of the wallet. And found the medicare card! It was behind the card slots in an area I don't usually use and sort of stuck so it didn't show and was hard to get out. Oh well.
