if travel is fun, your kids pick up on that. if it's traumatic or really stressful, they'll sense that, too.
tzarevich has def inherited our love for travel
i remember the drives up to san francisco, the grand canyon. a train ride to san diego.

My first time on a plane I was 21 or so. Yet, I caught the travel bug. I was 51 the first time I went flying in a plane. I was terrified.

And the travel bug gets passed on! Our son, daughter in law and grandson are currently in Ecuador for 4 months; grandson goes to school there and is growing comfortably bilingual. He loves his adventures with his family.

i used to take psa up & down the cali coast pacific southwest or poor students' airlines it's actually cited in a joni mitchell song don't interrupt the sorrow "i'm leaving on the 1:15"

Cool, Phar. I remember a series of threads by you from around 2005 (I remember only because I remember where I was) about going camping for the first time. And staying in the YHA at Port Fairy. CC was an appropriate handle! Long way from Port Fairy to Rangoon!
